Ephemere Presents: ANTHOLOGY 2

  • Gallery Conceal Shibuya (map)

Derived from the Greek word for "a gathering of flowers," ANTHOLOGY is a photography exhibition series produced by Ephemere.

Curated by Anne Murayama, this project gathers photographers from across the globe—distinct in style, genre, and geography—and weaves their individual narratives into a cohesive visual collection. Each volume is accompanied by a limited-edition printed publication, ensuring the collection endures beyond the gallery walls.

For ANTHOLOGY 2, nine photographers converge in Tokyo to explore the construction of the image itself. The exhibition arranges itself into three distinct visual threads: physically altering the photographic medium, redefining narratives through sequence and physical interaction, and capturing the emotional displacement of place. From experimental chemical treatments and forgotten historical printing methods to interactive photographic objects, this exhibition asks not just what we see, but how the image is made, felt, and remembered.
