I am Anne Murayama, Founder & Director of Ephemere. Born out of a quiet, month-long period of reflection in Kyoto, this subscription is a return to the intimacy of physical photography and actual mail. It is a way for me to share my personal work and thoughts directly with you, far away from the algorithm.
To keep this sincere and manageable alongside my daily tasks at Ephemere, this circle is strictly limited to 25 subscribers.

📷 3 Curated Photo Prints: Printed on high-quality photo paper and personally signed. Each month brings a fresh curation, always presented as a triptych of three images. Most of them are never-before-seen frames, many of which have never been posted online or published in any of my previous photobooks, offering a deeply intimate look into my visual archive.
✍🏼 A Personal Letter: Honest, behind-the-scenes thoughts, reflections, and anecdotes from my life and journey as an independent curator and publisher.

✂️ The Cut-Off: To keep shipping manageable for me as a one-person team, please subscribe by the last day of the current month to receive the following month's envelope.
💌 Shipping: Envelopes will be sealed and shipped out globally during the middle week of the following month. This window gives me the mindful interval needed to hand-assemble each piece with care. For example: If you subscribe by May 31st, your envelope will be shipped during the middle week of June.
📮 Delivery & Tracking: Please note that to keep this project accessible, all envelopes are sent via standard international airmail without tracking numbers. Depending on where you are in the world, delivery usually takes 2 to 3 weeks. Keep an eye on your mailbox!
