The class size requires a minimum of 2 participants to proceed and is capped at a maximum of 6 participants per session to ensure personalized, hands-on guidance.
Schedule & Duration
This workshop is offered on four days during the EPF: October 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th (Monday β Thursday).
Time: 15:00 β 17:00 (2-hour block).
Fees & Refund Policy
The workshop fee is $15 (or approximately 2,000 JPY) per participant.
Confirmation & Payment: Your application is confirmed upon receipt of the full payment. You must ensure you can attend before reserving your slot.
Refund Policy (Strict): Due to the limited slots and immediate proximity to the festival, all bookings are non-refundable.
Language of Instruction
This workshop will be conducted in English.
Required Equipment & Materials
All necessary materials (paper, scissors, glue, provided photographs, etc.) will be supplied by the mentor. Participants only need to bring themselves!
Optional: Participants may choose to bring their own small printed photographs (postcard size or smaller, taken by themselves) to incorporate into their collage.
Workshop Flow (2 Hours)
Pre-Workshop: No prior submission is required.
During the Session:
(15 min) Introduction and overview of the one-page zine concept;
(60 min) Demonstration of the folding technique followed by simultaneous zine assembly and collage making;
(30 min) Group sharing and final assembly.
Post-Workshop: Finished photo zines will be displayed throughout the Ephemere Photo Fest (until October 12th).
About the Mentor
Anne Murayama, the founder and curator of ephemere., brings a wealth of expertise to each session as an image-based artist, independent curator, and publisher. Her work is known for its intimate and evocative visual style, especially in black-and-white photography.
