The capacity is highly limited to 2 participants per day, with each booking securing a dedicated one-hour private review slot.
Schedule & Duration
This workshop is offered on four days during the Ephemere Photo Fest: October 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th (Monday β Thursday).
Time: 12:00 β 14:00 (Two individual 1-hour slots available per day.)
Fees & Refund Policy
The workshop fee is $35 (or approximately 5,500 JPY) per participant.
Confirmation & Payment: Your application is confirmed upon receipt of the full payment. You must ensure you can attend before reserving your slot.
Refund Policy (Strict): Due to the limited slots and immediate proximity to the festival, all bookings are non-refundable.
Language of Instruction
This workshop will be conducted in English.
Required Equipment & Materials
Participants must bring at least 25 printed images from one consistent body of work. Any size or format is acceptable (convenience store, home printer, or cheap lab prints are fine). Working with tangible, physical prints is essential for the sequencing and editing discussion.
Workshop Flow (60 Minutes Per Person)
Pre-Workshop: Participants will submit digital images of the work they intend to review (via the application form) for initial preparation.
During the Session:
(5 min) Introduction/Goal Setting
(45 min) Focused Review, Narrative Feedback, and Interactive Sequencing with Prints (fluid based on participant goals/challenges)
(10 min) Actionable Next Steps and Q&A
Post-Workshop: Participants are entitled to one follow-up email containing additional insights and advice. This email will be sent after the Ephemere Photo Fest (after October 12th).

Anne Murayama, the founder and curator of ephemere., brings a wealth of expertise to each session as an image-based artist, independent curator, and publisher. Her work is known for its intimate and evocative visual style, especially in black-and-white photography.
