📖 About the Program
The history of photography has been updated with the emergence of new technologies and materials. In this talk, photographer and Tokyo Alternative Photography Club founder Kenshi Daito will explore the relationship between research into photographic materials and artistic practice, using his currently developing black-and-white film "Retgra" as a starting point. Through the practice of an artist himself working on the development of photographic materials, we will consider how photographic technology has been involved in the formation of photographic expression and culture, and what possibilities are currently open up.
